Had no idea there were men walking round talking as if this rather mundane observation was some sort of "pill".

many of us never had family or friends that explained anything to us, and we are not socially skilled or able to understand other people's atitude unless someone explains it explicitly.

The obvious thing would be that men and women like sex equally and pair up with their equal one in the attractiveness scale, and make a 50-50 effort to get together. This is what our culture tells us by denying biological differences between genders.

So yes for me it was a big pill to learn this, and it liberated me from being upset about women ignoring me, now I know why.

This is excellent, thank you. Just curious - do you think the prospect of physical violence and no guaranteed orgasm also play a role in the gatekeeping?

I think it is more that pregnancy is a huge investment for women and not for men (biologically) so they want only the very best genes.

Maybe this is just me interpreting what this guy meant, but what I think he was implying about this (that women control sex) is that it's often claimed that women have very little power in a patriarchal society, but they in fact have substantial power in some ways. It may be the case that most women (and men) already understand this, but not all writing on the topic of gender power imbalances acknowledges it.

hypergamy is the natural option, women will select the top 10-25% of men and betas will finance it, while our genes disappear, it is natural and good for a more atractive and successful humanity in the future.
